Call me Clark, Clark Kent

Today I felt like a boy, so I dressed like one. Yeah, I feel like a dude sometimes, wanna fight about it. Anyways, I wore my Los Angeles tee, my red pants and my new favorite accessory, my glasses. It ended up looking a little  Superman (supergirl?) Amazing. Being a boy is easy.

Day and night

So today's post is about transitioning my outfit from day to night. Yesterday I had to go to work and I would be busy,so being comfortable was a factor for me. I wore gray leopard-print pants, a plain black tank top, my favorite vest and my black booties. Those darn booties, although cute, get ridiculously uncomfortable, so that sucked! I lightly curled my hair and threw on some simple concealer and chap-stick, and I was out the door.

Later that night we went to dinner, and I didn't want to look too casual. It got colder so I wanted to wear a cute jacket or sweater. I decided to go with an over-sized blazer, which kept me warm and looked cute, yay. I wore my Lorraina's again and for being 5 inches I have to say they are more comfortable than the booties I was wearing earlier! Last thing I put on was my Lime Crime Velvetine in suedeberry. Its a matte lipstick that applies like a gloss and it lasts forever! I'm obsessed. Any who, these quick and simple changes made my outfit into a whole different look.

3 day weekend

I've been lagging on posting, so let me say sorry for that. On Saturday it was nice and warm out, so I went with a very spring peplum shirt. I love the print on it and when I first considered buying the shirt I was kinda intimidated by the peplum. Luckily I stepped out of my comfort zone and bought it. Yay. I just wore it with some jeans and pink sandals, sorry I didn't get a full shot.

On Sunday I watched football, so I wore a new Patriots shirt, go pats! Anyways, no picture of that either, sorry.  So today I wanted to wear a dress and I'm glad I did. It was nice and warm today. The dress is pretty versatile, so I could easily dress it up for a nice dinner or date with my mister. To make it more casual I added one of my favorite pieces, my denim vest. With my leopard flats and straight hair I felt very light and pretty.

Fancy lady

I wore my wonderful coat today and I was called fancy. So yeah, fancy me with horrible photography skills. Oh well. I wore it over a white blouse and skinny jeans. That's it. Simple and chic, ooh-la-la.

Wrinkled up

Today I had an errand to run and I almost went in my p.j.'s, GASP!!! Fortunately, I thought better of it and threw on a wrinkled top and jacket. Ha. The stars of today's ensemble were definitely my accessories. So here they are.

As you can see, I'm all wrinkled up, which is why I am going to invest in a steamer ASAP since I hate to iron, obviously.

Well it's on sale, so I need it

Today's outfit was pretty boring. So boring that I didn't bother taking a picture of it. Sigh, being fashionable when you're lazy is tough. Instead of what I wore, today I'll show you what I will be wearing someday. First up is this really cute hi-low hemmed, black and yellow dress that I got from a cute store called Cotton On at the Montclair mall. It was only, brace yourselves, $7.50! What! Amaze-balls! Can't wait till it gets warmer so I can rock this dress with my Lorraina's from Just Fab.

Next up are yet another pair of flats. I know, I have a shoe problem that gets harder to control when the shoes in question are only $3.50, whaaat! Yes my friends, only three dollars and fifty cents. Ridiculous! Go to H&M and grab yourself a pair or two.

Now my next item up is the very Chanel-like overcoat. Once I saw it, it really spoke to me. The collar features a beaded detail that is beautifully done. The price for this beauty, $15! H&M Trend is the more higher end line, the original price being $79.95. I couldn't pass up on this baby. I can't wait to play around with some outfits for her.

Last, but not least, another dress. This dress caught my eye because of the bright color. The 2nd reason is that my brother is getting married in March and the theme is country. Hello June Carter Cash! I can't wait to tease my hair and throw on some boots for the wedding. This dress is also from Cotton On and it was on sale for $7.50. Score.

Mockingjay

Today's outfit was just thrown together quickly... like 30 mins before I had to leave for work. Why, you ask? Because of Katniss Everdeen! I got super into the last part of the book and I couldn't stop reading! Ahhh, so good. I can't wait to see the movie. Now for the clothes. Same red pants from a previous post. I wore my leopard flats. Seriously, they are super duper comfortable. I love them. The scarf I just got as a Christmas present from my sister. It's adorbs. So yeah.

Cheers

Boy sweater, girl boots

Today was super windy and I didn't want to wear a beanie so I wore my awesome navy blue headband. It added that feminine touch to my otherwise butch look, hah! My sweatshirt is actually a man's sweater, but I just couldn't pass up the mustard color. I think it looks a lil too fem for a guy anyway, which is why when I do wear it, I wear a cute necklace, or in today's case, a sparkly headband!

Unfortunately, I couldn't hang wearing my boots today! The heels felt loose or something and I rolled my ankle a bit. Not cool. So I caved and bought a pair of flats. But all is well because I needed cute flats because the other pair I have hate feet and want to see them die. Dramatic, yes, but true.

laziness and shoes

Today was one of those days that my laziness almost got the best of me. I was ready to put on leggings, a sweatshirt and my "uggs" and call it a day, but I couldn't let myself. I did, however, let myself put on jeggings, ha! I would call today's outfit pretty casual, so I put on my super cute boots and voila, outfit made. I was pretty lazy about doing my hair today, so that called for a beanie, but it worked, then I had to work.

It was a long slow day that only got sweeter when I came home and yay, my Just Fab order was waiting for me! I've been wanting a pair of sexy, black stilettos since I saw a really great Jessica Simpson pair at Macy's. . . for $150! Ridiculous, right? Then out of nowhere I get an email from Just Fab about their BOGO sale and found a pair that was pretty much exactly like the J Simp's (only cheaper). Both shoes came out to $43 with tax, say what!

The Fairlee stiletto is super high, and super sexy. Can't wait to wear these bad girls on a date with my leather leggings or a LBD. Fierce!!!

The second pair I chose were the Lorraina's. They have a chunky heel and are leather and suede. They'll look fantastic with shorts or dresses, perfect for spring and summer. Thank God for Just Fab and amazing shoes. I'm a happy girl!

Agent Skully

For today's outfit, I finally wore the skull blouse that I bought a few weeks ago. I had put it on layaway like 2 months ago because in addition to being lazy, I am also a broke-ass bitch, ha! I've seen this same patterned top on nastygal.com going for $48, but lucky for me I found it at Burlington's for only $16. Yay for me. . . and my wallet.

My new favorite accessory that I bought recently has to be the rhinestone "gold" cross necklace that I found in downtown. Once again, another bargain, only $1 and I have seen similar necklaces for $18 and up online! Being a broke-ass has its advantages. I think twice before splurging and I end up finding the same exact item cheaper somewhere else.

So that was today's outfit. Oh yeah, I'm on the lookout for a new pair of  flat, knee-high boots, so let me know if you guy's see any cute, yet reasonably priced ones.

Vacation is over

Yesterday my week-long much needed vacation ended. Back the to crazy retail reality. Boo. I was still feeling sicky, so dressing comfortably and warmly was the objective.
Long sleeve- H&M, fur vest- I got it from my momma, skinny jeans- H&M
I've been digging the fur vest trend for quite some time, but had yet to find a cute one that fit my boobies and didn't make me feel part yeti. I just so happened to look in the coat closet and, success, found my mom's old vest that looked super cute. Actual mom quote: "I bought that a long time ago, I'm way ahead of the trends!" So off to work I went feeling cute, and congested. It was a good day, minus the flats that totally killed my feet. Oh well.

Simple and Sparkles

I'm back. I've been sick these past 3 days, so you know, back in my yoga pants and soft kitty hoody, all congested and gross. Any way, I managed to doll myself up to celebrate a baby shower.
Top: $9.95 H&M, pants: H&M, Booties: Ross
A simple blouse is taken to the next level with the added detail on the shoulder. Paired with red pants, this look is casual, yet put together

It was all in the details today, people. The rhinestones were my favorite part of the blouse and the price really sold me on it. Simple and cute, that was my goal today.

2013, maybe this year I will dress nice and blog

Hello world.
I'm Raeleen, a 26 year-old lazy fashionista. This is my blog.
I love fashion, but I can let my laziness get the best of me and fall into the same ol' comfort zone of yoga pants or old jeans and boy hoodies. Yeah, sadness. They say not to judge a book by its cover, but its hard when your cover screams "Lazy Bum!".
I guess you can say I am using this blog as a reason to finally let the fashionable girl trapped inside free to run wild.
This is the year of fashion.
